DESCRIPTION:Lanesboro Arts is thrilled to present Saltydog as the sole 20
 25 Rhythms on the Root concert on Saturday\, July 12th at 6:00 p.m. in Ga
 teway Park.\n\nSaltydog is a funk jam improvisational exploration that tak
 es the audience &amp\; band on a journey through their playfully crafted f
 olk driven tunes inspired by the likes of everyone from The Talking Heads\
 , The Band\, those classic country and jam band staples along with everyon
 e in between.\n\nThe band was spawned on the banks of Duluth’s ice cover
 ed stones by brothers Jacob and Owen Mahon. This midwestern psychedelic co
 wboy review features Calvin (Calzone) Lund\, Lefty Johnson\, Gavin St. Cla
 ir\, and Sam Deters.\n\nThe band’s genuine kindness\, passion\, enthusia
 sm and joy for their craft is apparent\, enchanting &amp\; makes for an ad
 ditive live performance. Their 2nd album Pepper dropped in spring 2024\,
  the band released their 3rd album in Spring 2025. The band has been known
  as differently original\, funky\, and unpredictable in a delightful\, sou
 lful manner. There is something for everyone at a Saltydog show.\n\nRhythm
 s on the Root activates the vibrant asset of Gateway Park as a place for t
 he Lanesboro community and visitors to gather and celebrate with live musi
 c.\n\nTickets are $20 General Admission for individuals age 13+ and $15 L
 anesboro Arts Members (free for ages 12 and under\, but ticket still requi
 red). Seating will be first come\, first served general admission. Bring y
 our own lawn chair or blanket to sit on in the park! In the event of rain 
 the concert will be held at the St. Mane Theatre.\n\nThe Rhythms on the Ro
 ot series is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota
  State Arts Board grant\, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the a
 rts and cultural heritage fund.
