Sod House Theater Presents “Five More Minutes”

Overview
This playful new theater piece builds awareness about dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It follows the lives of Don and Myrna, an aging, inter-racial couple who use imagination to adapt when Myrna experiences symptoms of dementia. Don and Myrna enjoy fantastical imaginary vacations all over the world until the lines between reality and imagination begin to blur.
This whimsical, compassionate hour-long piece offers insights into the impact of dementia. After the performance, Adenike Ademola, Master of Social Work, will be present to dialog with the audience and offer knowledge and resources about aging, caregiving and dementia. Awareness and screening resource materials will be available.
