Wildlife on the Whitewater River

Christine Johnson, Area Manager for Whitewater Wildlife Management Area, will speak at the January 28 meeting of the Win-Cres Chapter of Trout Unlimited. She will discuss Dorman Pools in the Whitewater valley. The pools originally were created to provide waterfowl refuge and habitat. They have served this purpose well for many years. Now, the dikes are in poor shape and need attention. This provides an opportunity to re-evaluate what our resources can provide for a greater diversity of wildlife. Come hear what the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is is considering for the Whitewater River valley.

A social hour, including food, begins at 6 p.m. followed by a program at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in Trout Unlimited is welcome.
