Overview
Lanesboro Arts is excited to announce an Open Mic Opportunity is coming your way on Saturday, March 14th at 7:00 pm at the St. Mane Theatre! The evening is open to poets, writers, storytellers, dancers, and acoustic musicians alike. If you have something to share, join us at our historic theatre in downtown Lanesboro, MN. This event is free and open to all. Doors will open at 6:00 pm so you can come and sign up before the evening kicks off at 7:00 pm. We hope you’ll join us to maybe share something or to sit and enjoy the offerings.
In January, we hosted an open mic which featured poets from members of the Driftless Poets Society. This group was born in 2023 following Su Hwang’s residency in Lanesboro. The group meets monthly at the Driftless Fiber Arts Collective to share work and discuss it. Some of these poets were also featured in Lanesboro’s Talk Trails. Some of the poets plan to be on stage in March as well!
This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Please note:
The St. Mane Theatre box office will open at 6:00 p.m. the day of the event.
