Jim Johnson

Jim Johnson grew up in Northern Minnesota where he developed an awareness and concern for culture and local history as well as the natural world. He is a former Duluth Poet Laureate and has published twelve books of poetry. “One Morning In June: Selected Poems” acknowledges the interconnectedness of our species and plants and animals. “A Good Sauna Always Burns Down” is a collection of his works based on his Finnish American heritage. He now lives in Decorah, Iowa, and Isabella, Minnesota.
