Fillmore County Historical Society Lunch & Program | What are the Masons?
October 12 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Overview
This year the Fillmore County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, October 12, 2025. There will be a soup luncheon provided beginning at 12:30 p.m. The program will begin about 1 p.m. and will focus on the Masons. The society’s business meeting and board elections will follow shortly afterward. Members must be present to vote.
This year’s speaker will be Zeb Dudek, secretary of the Chatfield Masonic Lodge. Many people have heard of the secretive societies such as the Masons, but they do not know about the organizations. Dudek will be speaking of the general history of the Masons and who they are. Fillmore County once had many lodges in nearly every town in the county. In 2025, only two exist – Chatfield and Rushford.
For those who have never known about the Masons and are curious about the society, this is a perfect opportunity to learn more from one of its members. At the same time, those in attendance can visit the new exhibit area to see some of the artifacts used by the Masons in their meetings.
