Overview

Join us for a field day hosted by the Alex, Bridget and Kevin Kvanli family near Spring Valley on Saturday, March 21st from 9am-12pm.

We will begin promptly at 9 am with Woodland Stewardship Plan 101, followed by a presentation from Kvanlis showcasing their property. Then we will head out for a walk-and-talk to show the conservation work Kvanlis have been doing to implement their stewardship plan and how that supports their goals and enjoyment of their land.

Points of interest include: Maple syrup production, CRP, food plots, trails, timber stand improvement, and which management activities have occurred, future goals, how forest management activities have shifted and why, and programs offering financial assistance. We will dive into deer hunting as that is one of the most enjoyed uses of the land.

Plan to be outside for most of the event. We will begin with an “inside” classroom portion.
