Lives in Focus | A Memoir Panel

Local authors James Francisco Bonilla and Mariah Forster Olson chat about their memoirs, writing process, publishing and more. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions. The panel will be moderated by reference librarian, Samantha. The event is free and open to all.

Bonilla’s book, An Eye for an I: Growing up with Blindness, Bigotry, and Family Mental Illness, is being released by University of Minnesota Press on November 4. Olson’s book, Hope Over Despair: Childhood Cancer and the Lifelong Journey of Survivorship was published in July 2025.
