Sick and Tired: Experimental Drawing Workshop

Building off of his recently published coloring book Sick and Tired at the Met (Irrelevant Press, 2025), join exhibiting artist Ryan Woodring for a series of wildly inventive drawing workshops in the galleries employing observational, meditative, and collaborative mark-making. As a chronically ill artist and teacher with a background in making things disappear (visual effects), Woodring explores alternative approaches to visualizing and defamiliarizing illness beyond traditional diagnostics. This workshop employs embodied drawing practices to navigate notions of agency, expertise, and uncertainty endemic to experiences of giving and receiving clinical care.
