Submit An Event
This calendar is for everyone. If your event is open to the public and hosted in Houston, Fillmore, Mower, Winona or Olmsted county, we want to hear about it!
Post events focused on music, theater, art, the outdoors, hobbies, heritage, sport, food, cooking, community fundraising, seasonal activities, learning, job fairs, church dinners, festivals, open houses, retail events with demonstrations. Listening sessions with elected officials, chef’s dinners, holiday meals, business networking, trainings, community-wide sales events and multi-vendor markets are all welcome, if they are open to the public.
Political rallies, partisan events, religious services, retail discounts or happy hours may not be posted. Routine school and local government events are too numerous to include in this calendar but links to their calendars are found on this Root River Current page.
Submissions are reviewed and approved at the discretion of Root River Current. We reserve the right to edit entries and to accept or reject a submitted item for any reason.

Before submitting an event
- Make sure it is not already on the calendar.
- Provide the event date, time, place and description. Double check for accuracy.
- Upload a horizontal jpg photo (2/1 ratio, ideally at least 800 pixels wide).
