Root River Current’s Local Events Calendar: A New Way To Connect

 

SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA – From owl prowls, chainsaw workshops and Norwegian potlucks to live performances, chef’s dinners and arts gatherings – Root River Current’s Local Events Calendar keeps you connected to friends and neighbors throughout the greater Root River valley.

 

 

Root River Current’s calendar launched in June as a fresh way to make local adventures more accessible across southeastern Minnesota.

It’s easy for sponsors and promoters to use and it makes finding your next adventure a cinch.

Event sponsors and venue managers, the calendar is ready for your promotions now.

Submit your event using this simple online form, and the event will post immediately following review by a Root River Current editor.

We welcome free and fee-based events that are open to the public and hosted by or with Houston, Fillmore, Mower, Winona or Olmsted county organizations.

A wide variety of activities is encouraged — music, learning events and tours, theater, art, hobby and heritage activities, church dinners, food and cooking, job fairs, community fundraising, sport, outdoor activities, seasonal happenings and festivals.

You may also promote open houses, retail events, chef’s dinners, holiday meals, community-wide sales events and multi-vendor markets if they are open to the public and include entertainment, music, tastings, guest appearances, signings or demonstrations.

 

 

If you manage a local museum or other attraction that doesn’t host frequent events, feel free to highlight one aspect of your venue and its open hours in a monthly post.
